Hmm…

So I was playing WoW again tonight…just like I do most nights and I realised something tonight. I realised that I play this game way too much and I seriously need to see the sun more, I’m starting to feel like some albino basement dweller, lol. I should at least try to see the sun some more before I have to move back to the gloomy world of the Undercity. Yes I mean the UK.

It’s sad isn’t it when you associate your home land with a city in the game you play WAY too much, lol. But yeah, tomorrow I need get outside. I’m getting lethargic because I don’t see enough sunlight. I napped on the couch this evening before I did some heroics with the rest of the guild…and I felt like such a lazy bum.

But right now, I am going off to bed again before I stress myself out and get all freaked out for another night.

Moving N Eating

It’s now about two weeks until we move out of this place and into our shiny new one. I. Cannot. Wait. I’ve packing up boxes left and right and we’re still waiting to hear back from the owner of the building we’re moving into so we can actually see our new place. I want to be able to walk in there and envision everything in it’s place and truly start getting excited about it all. The living room is pretty much packed up, the dining room is half done as are the bedrooms, and the kitchen we havn’t even touched yet. So even though I’m sitting here with boxes piled up around me, we’ve still got a heck of a lot more to do. We went to U Haul last night and picked up five small boxes, but they’ve been used now. I really like packing at night, I just put on my iPod and get to work. I fell into bed last night around 1.30am exhausted, but pleased with my progress. If Nick gets some more boxes today, I’m gonna start on the excess glassware and dishes in the kitchen. 

I’m hungry. I fancy some brown rice and veggies for lunch. I’ve been getting into this whole healthy kick recently. It’s not warm enough for me to go running yet, so I’m just trying a better diet for now. Brown rice, veggies, lots of water, whole wheat bread and reduced sugar jam. Lots of other stuff besides, that’s not my entire meal plan :p I still get cravings for things like cheese and chocolate though, so I’ve been indulging them once in a while- as it’s not healthy to just cut out everything you like as then you go mad and gorge yourself stupid and feel like a fat pig. I discovered that the hard way.

Rain, Rain Go Away

I hate April. I really like rain but this is just torture! It’s nice one day then rains the next. You never quite know what to do with yourself! 

Packed up a few more boxes. We now have no DVD’s on the shelf and no XBox, so I’m stuck with my GameBoy until we move. Gah, I hope I don’t get angry over anything because Bloodrayne is always a good game for taking your anger out on. Kick some zombie butt

I just put Abby down for a nap, and we’re going to call some more uHaul places this afternoon, because our local one doesn’t have the truck we need for the afternoon we’re moving. Luckily, there’s a few others in the city so we’ll call those and see what they have for offer. We also plan on going out for some ice cream too, Abby got a $5 gift card to an ice cream parlour, so we’re going to head over there and see what kind of yumminess they have for sale. Even though it’s raining and cold outside, there’s always time for ice cream no matter what the weather :p

Slowly Creeping Back

Yesterday, I could feel my lousy mood swings starting to affect me again.  I sat and read and read and read and I just didn’t feel like moving. I went outside onto the balcony into the warm night and drank a couple of beers. Then I got the wild idea that I was going to go outside and do some yard work…at 10.30pm. I’ve just been so spontanious recently. I finally fell asleep around 3am and then got woken up by Abby at 8.30am so I didn’t even get 6 hours sleep. So I’ve drank about 3-4 cups of coffee today and my body’s not used to handling that much caffeine in one shot…so now I’m all jittery and I can barely type because my fingers are moving at a mile a minute yet I feel like they’re gonne slip off the intended keys and hit others. I feel like someone set off a vibrator inside of me….I’m just buzzing, LOL.

Not done anymore packing as yet. I’m going to pack some of Abby clothes up next…but first I need to wash them and I can’t do that at the moment because her launfry hamper is in her bedroom and she’s taking her daily nap. We went outside this morning for her daily bit of fresh air and exercise but it started to rain about 10 minutes into playtime…so we can back inside and Abby wanted to go to bed…so that’s where she is now and that why I’m here in front of the computer. Ha. 

The caffeine is making me want to zip around the flat tidying things up and putting stuff in boxes…but I can’t make too much noise as Nick is still asleep and Abby’s also sleeping…so that means no music either. Thankgoodness for iPods. At least I can hear something while I’m acting all hyped-up :p

Go Go Go!!

I feel as though I’m being pulled in many directions. This evening, I have been multi-tasking to the extreme…if you saw me you’d sit me down with a stiff drink and tell me to calm down…I swear! We’ve been packing a few boxes this afternoon, and I’ve just been putting some old magazines in a paper bag to take out to the recycling bin. I’m just going to trash all my old mags (well, apart from the ones that I want to keep for recipes and stuff like that). All my spare clothes are now packed in boxes, and I’ve just left out the ones that I wear frequently. I’ve also packed away a few of my books too. To try and de-stress myself, I’ve been attempting to make peanut butter cookies…but it’s not working out that great because I get so involved doing something on the other side of the house and forget that there’s something in the oven. I just rescued a batch of cookies that almost got burned- luckily they’re still edible. So I’ve poured myself a glass of milk with a couple of toasted blueberry waffles and I’m going to sit and watch TV. Hopefully that will help

Weird Week

It’s been a weird kind of a week, hasn’t it? Crazy storms on the East coast, the whole VA Tech thing and crazy people in general. I’ve actually been doing okay recently, no weird mood swings, no feeling sorry for myself, no wanting to punch walls….it’s been very nice just feeling average in general. I went for a run the other day while the weather was nice and that cleared my head of anything brewing. It’s been raining for most of the day so I havn’t been out. I’ve also been keeping busy with packing stuff in boxes, since we have less than a month now until we move to our new place on the other side of town. I’ve been wanting to bake stuff recently but I’ve just not had the creative desire to do so….I seem to be more creative when I’m in a depressive period. A lot of my time has been taken up recently by me just sitting on my butt and playing video games. When I’m manic, I don’t have the patience to sit still and when I’m depressed, I just want to spend all day asleep. So being stuck in this in between phase is enabling me to get stuff done that I usually can’t. Although, that means I keep putting the packing off. I wish there was a magic packing fairy :p

Apartment Update

So as you all know, the apartment is now ours. Only we’re not getting the same apartment that we originally applied for. The owner of the apartment building is moving us to a better apartment that has a better view and we’re also right next door to her (which is nice because her daughter is pretty much the same age as Abby). It’s a little bit more a month ($640 a month instead of $615) but we can still afford it. We’re going to pay the security deposit in the next week so then it will be officially ours! 

I’ve started packing up stuff in boxes that we’re not using at the moment (stuff like winter clothing and winter bedding). There’s a lot of stuff in the basement that we need to figure out what we’re going to do with…I’m guessing that we’re going to be storing some of it in Nick’s mom’s basement. But you know, the stuff is down there because we don’t use it anymore. I cannot wait to get to our new place…and get to watch cable! OMG, I’ve never had cable before and it will be so nice to have something decent on tv to watch! :p

We Have It!

We got the apartment! I didn’t think we were going to get it, but the other people that wanted it I guess dropped out or didn’t pass the background checks. It’s awesome…I feel like the luckiest person on the planet!

I’m currently waiting for the UPS truck to get here. I’ve been waiting all damn day and it’s almost 5pm. Where are you?
