Ragin’

I had a really long day yesterday, the dinner with Shannon was amazing and she has a great family. It was nice to spend Christmas Day in that kind of environment because it was like being with my own family again and I miss all that. Shannon’s sister, Laurie is a blast too and she had us all cracking up numerous times and it was really priceless. I don’t think I could have swapped out that evening for anything else planned in the city. Yeah, I know my eyes are closed on the photo- I don’t care.

But I came home around 7.30pm and proceeded to dump my stuff and sit on WoW for a bit. Then I realised that I was getting a bit emotional so I said good night to everyone and excused myself. Watched a movie for a while then started to fall asleep, so I texted a friend and he called me till I realised I was starting to fall asleep on the phone. I excused myself for the second time and then promptly passed out with the cat next to me.

Now this cat is pissing me off unless I let him sleep on my bed and be next to me every second of the day. He is constantly under my feet, trying to trip me up and almost making me fall down the stairs this morning. Last night I got so pissed off at him that I started yelling at him and he rattled the doorknob all early this morning after I let him out the room. I think he wanted me to get up and feed him….hell no! It was 5am and I had been awake for two straight days the day before, so I just wanted to get back in bed and pass out again.  But I finally gave up around 10.30am and then got out of bed, fed him and then ate while sitting on WoW again for a couple of hours.

I then decided that I would take a shower today, because I was probably starting to smell funny so I run the shower and I get in. Ten minutes later, I’m almost done and the hot water runs out. So I’m standing there under the water and it’s FREEZING! So then I just give up, slump to the bottom of the bathtub and proceed to sob while the freezing water pours over me. Ugh.

I just feel like today is going to be a day where everything goes wrong………….pants.

Abby is at Grandma’s for the afternoon to play in her pool, Nick’s gone golfing with his friends, so…

My friend has a boat, okay? Like I have the money to afford one :p

Graduations

We all had a graduation party to attend this afternoon. It was Nick’s cousin and he’s also the last to graduate from high school until one of the little guys gets there (Colton, Abby and any one else who comes along in the future). He’s the youngest of the cousins, and Nick is the oldest- an age gap of 14 years. There was the giant spread of photos of the graduate through the years and Nick was also on there holding him when he was a baby. I have not seen one bad photo of my hubby, well there’s a few of him when he was a kid…but as a teenager- COME TO MAMA! I married such a hot man, he doesn’t look any different now than he did 14 years ago. A little bit more facial hair and obviously a little taller, but looks wise he was hot then and he’s hot now- I’m a lucky woman  

Memorial Day 2008

I’d like to dedicate this post to my Grandad. He died in 2005 and was a war hero from WW2. I miss him so much and may he rest in peace.

So I wake up this morning to find that my daughter has somehow escaped her bedroom to scribble all over the computer monitor with black permanent marker. Nightmare! Luckily, Nick knew how to take the offending substance with lighter fluid. There’s still a few streaks on it, and I’ll take those off in a minute. 

Other than that, my day has been pretty uneventful. Me and Nick fell into bed together last night at the same time (around 3am ish) and we woke up at 10am. Which was three hours later than what I usually sleep to, but believe you me, I felt so good when I woke up. After having three nights of five hour sleep cycles, I think that my body was really ready for a decent nights sleep. I probably could have slept for about another three hours, but at least I didn’t feel like I needed to take a nap this afternoon. 

I spent most of the day running to and from the laundry room, and while I was down there I saw that two of my friends had the grill out again. So I went outside to say hi and that was the first time that day that I actually realised how warm it was outside. I hate this depressive period I’m going through at the moment, I just don’t feel like doing anything. I remember when I was living with my parents and my mum would make me sit out in the garden when the weather was nice- just to get some fresh air into my lungs. 

It’s only going to get worse tomorrow. Nick’s going to the bank and he said that he’s going to finally buy me Pokemon Diamond that I’ve been pining after for months. Wooooo
