WOOOT!
Slowly…
Another amount of downtime this morning meant I couldn’t play this morning before Abby woke up nor while she was at school. And the realms are coming back online slowly, but my realm is sitting there on the Realm Status page, surrounded by a sea of green with it being the only red dot in the middle.
Ugh. Best be before 11.30am- gotta go pick up Abby from school. Then get on briefly and check guild bank and mail box, make sure I can go to AH to fill the spots where my epic loot was yesterday and then finally turn off the computer and go to sleep. I have been awake since yesterday morning, and thanks to the help of two cans of Mountain Dew and some tea…I am still bouyant and perky! Sleep?! Sleep is for the weak!
Galilyse
How Embarrassing!
I had a pretty decent nights sleep last night and I woke up with the blankets still wrapped around me, snug as a bug in a rug. Nick woke up at a similar time because he had to use the bathroom and then he proceeded to tell me how I’d been talking about World Of Warcraft in my sleep. Supposedly I was cussing about nagas, saying “I got a really fast horsey! Weeeee!” and trying to explain in detail how to complete a certain quest.
This is the second time I’ve ever done this in my sleep, and it’s only ever when I complete something major in the game. I think the first time I did it was when I got to level 30 and got my first mount. Last night I finally got my Epic mount (I am officially level 62, I’ll post pics soon!) and it was such an improvement over my well-worn Frostsaber. That and I’m stuck in an area with lots of nagas, so I guess they’re subconciously pissing me off too. Haha.
WoW Update
So yesterday, I finally hit Level 30. I know it wasn’t long since I was level 24, as I said I tend to gain about a level every day. It’s not that I play that much either, but after a long day of doing stuff for other people…I just want to have some time for myself. I tend to play from about 10pm to about 1am. Sometimes 2am if I’m in the middle of a quest that needs to get completed. I was up until 3am the other morning when I hit lvl 30 because I was hanging out with the guys and we were having a lot of fun.
I’ve discovered that the guys in the guild I’m part of are very willing to help out. I don’t always ask for help, but when I do they jump at the chance to help me. A couple of them are always buying my gifts too, which is sweet. I tried to buy a Frost Saber last night for one of the guys and we didn’t realise it was BOP (Bind On Pickup) and so then I couldn’t trade it to him because it was soulbound to me. So that was 8 gold down the drain. Now I have two saber mounts, and I feel guilty using the Frost Saber.
Because I hit Level 30, it enabled me to learn mount riding and the opportunity to buy a mount. So my personal mount is a Night Saber, and I want a Black Stallion…but I have to be Exalted with Stormwind because I can buy one.
I have a challenge for you! Look at the photos above, and give my Night Saber a name!
Dirty Little Secret
So I was watching Rachael Ray with Abby again this morning, and on the previews during the Early Show…it looked like it was going to be a decent show today as she was talking to moms who had ‘dirty little secrets’. Now some of them were kind of Martha Stewart-ish (like passing off store bought cupcakes as your own) but none of them I actually took to be dirty. More like secretive and misleading. I’d never buy something and try to pass it off as my own, that’s just dishonest. Even when it comes to baking cupcakes for Abby when she starts school, I will do it all myself (with Abby’s help of course). Why waste the money when I have the ingredients and the skills to do it?
I personally don’t have any ‘dirty secrets’. More like a ’secret life’. Yes, my husband knows about it. In fact, he encourages me to carry on. I play World Of Warcraft after Abby has gone to bed. I don’t claim to be the best player on the game, but I try my best among the mainly male population. I find as a female you have to try hard to stand out as most men will automatically peg you for being weak, just because you’re a girl.
Let me introduce you to Galilyse (I have alts in the game, and I may show them in the future):
I play a female Night Elf Druid. She’s level 24 at the moment (the above photos were taken last night before I levelled) and I tend to gain about a level a day. Sure, it’s kind of geeky but I love it as it gives me something to do in the evening once I’m done for the day. WoW rocks!
