I love the title song. It evokes so many memories for me. It’s the song that my parents dance to every November 11th (their wedding anniversary, the song played at their reception). It’s the song that reminds me of my first holiday abroad (we were going to Spain, I was about 7 and I remember hearing it in the airport terminal). It’s the song I requested at my 21st birthday party in honour of my parents and all the shit I’ve put them through over the years. It’s also one of the very first songs I remember listening to as a toddler.
I grew up around 60’s motown and 70’s disco, my parents were big fans of the music. I’ve been told that I would dance around the house in it, just wearing my diaper and a big grin on my face- there’s a lovely mental image for you :p And now Abby likes it, she claps along to the beat and she did it on the webcam today while I was talking to my parents. My mum cried, she’s such a sap
