Today’s been a really busy day for me. And a lot of things went by the wayside today, all for the sake of being a better person and helping others out.
On Sunday, I attend church no matter how shitty I’m feeling or how busy I am. I’ve been singing in the choir since January and since then I’ve suffered with tonsillitis and at the moment I have a bad cold/cough. I’m singing through the misery of the cold, but with the tonsillitis, I could barely even speak and I was so ill. So I took a week off and rested my voice. I discovered that I developed a slight vibrato after that illness, so in the end it was all for the better. I love singing, I’ve been doing it since I was in the Christmas Nativity and I’ve never regretted my mum getting me involved. I never really took part in plays, because I’m a horrible actress but I like to think that my singing isn’t half bad. I’m also a fairly quick learner too, so Gary (the choir director at church) can throw any piece of music at me and in an hour I’ve got the barebones learnt. Of course, I don’t think I’m good enough to make money of it…but I do declare myself to be a better singer than Taylor Swift. Ha ha.
Talking about her, did you see her disgraceful ACM performance? Can we say ugh?! I found it to be very OTT, and very, very wrong. Getting wet under a waterfall is for the MTV Awards lovey, not a country music award show. Somehow, I don’t think she got the memo.
The ACM’s was a great show to watch and I am SOOOO happy that Miranda won ‘Album Of The Year’. ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ totally deserved that as it’s one of my favourite albums from last year by one of my favourite artists. Carrie Underwood also took home another shiny trophy and continued her glorious reign of ‘Female Vocalist Of The Year’- which so very deserved as shown by the outstanding performance with Brad Paisley. And they both looked amazing too. Photos are required, I think
(thanks to the Official Miranda Lambert Fansite for the photos)

And I SO have to put this video in. I am so happy and so proud of Miranda. I’m gonna give her a huge hug next month. What a well-deserved award
