Ugh. Ugh. UGH!!
I am the worst blogger in the world. I never ever blog and I tend to just write it all down in my paper diary, so even though that’s helping with the thoughts in my head it doesn’t really make them tangible. Sigh. I have no clue anymore.
Yesterday was a productive day. Dave, Sari, Abby and I all went on a mini-vacation to the area near the IL border known as Racine and Kenosha (there’s only 7 miles separating R&K…so we decided to kill two birds with one stone). We originally started off by going to the Racine City Zoo, which is always good because it’s cheap ($4 a person) and Abby sure loves her animals. Me and Sari made good uses of our Flickr pro memberships and took photos of our stuffies lounging around in the trees and by the animals.
MAJOR PLUG: Sari makes these little guys all by herself. They are awesome and I’m building quite a collection.
Anyway, to continue…all was good at the zoo and we all had a ton of fun. We had lunch at Kewpie Burger and it was the most kick ass diner I’ve been in. Yes, I’m a bit of a diner virgin- but I LOVE THEM!! 
Then we moved onto Kenosha and we rode on the trolley loop and visited the public museum- which had some awesome ivory sculptures. I took some photos of them, but Sari probably has a ton more. You can check her Flickr account to see them 
We finally started on the journey home north around 4.30pm and arrived back in the Cream City around 5pm ish. I thought it would take longer than that, and we wern’t particually speedy so maybe it’s just a lot quicker than I thought. And no, we don’t do freeways. The three of us like scenic routes and urban adventures…so we’re partial to the back streets and forgotten roads.
I was in bed by around 10pm last night, that’s like the earlier ever.
